9 months is just around the corner!

Hey Everyone,

This past week has held a lot of firsts for Adam (or at least firsts with us because I know he's done a few of these things with his Mimi already :)): his first times sitting as a big boy in a restaurant high chair

his first time sitting up in a shopping cart unassisted,

his first time with finger foods,

(pictured are peaches and Greek yogurt, both of which he ignored for the sweet potato puffs I tried to hide in there....he very methodically picked them out of the rest; he must not be a fan of mess)

and his first time (since he was less than a month old) spewing out pretty much everything in his stomach....don't worry there are no pictures of that one. That was last night and I'm thinking he must have just eaten too much on account of his teething and his possible switching to wanting only three meals a day instead of four. We called the doctor and they said that since he didn't have a fever and since he didn't do it again, he should be okay. He did have a little diaper episode today since he ate only formula (and thinner formula at that) in an attempt to make sure his stomach was okay, but I'll save you the messy details. He's been passed out since pretty early tonight, so hopefully he'll have recuperated by tomorrow.

And here goes the rest of the pictures.

He and daddy at Little Tokyo after he got too tired to sit up in the high chair anymore.

He wanted to play with my phone, so I turned the camera on him.

This was after he finally fell asleep last night. He looked so perfect I just had to take a picture...it's now my new background on my phone :).

I hope everyone is healthy and safe. Don't forget, if you want to email Adam so he can have something (or several somethings) from you when he's older, leave a comment and I'll make sure to get you his email address.

Like Father, Like Son

This week was pretty tame, so much so that it practically flew by. Besides the election and celebrating Jeremy's birthday, I've pretty much been doing the same old same old, along with Adam. We did have a lot of good family time over the weekend though, including an outing to Old Navy, where we finally found Adam a hat that matches Thomas'. They ended up matching shirt wise too that day, so I warn you, the pictures are pretty adorable from that day.

As Promised...

...here's our sweet, baby Doctor Who :).

With his Aunt dressed as Luna Lovegood.
All bundled up and ready to join Aunt Katie trick-or-treating (sorry for the blur).
Lastly, I caught this image of his little toes as he slept the other night. They were just too adorable to pass up.

8-Months!

Hey Everyone,

As promised, I have plenty of pictures (and even more that are still on my dad's camera). He started out last weekend at a bonfire at his Mimi's house (resembling a certain Paddington bear for a while in his new, huge, jacket.

Then he got to watch everyone act ridiculous in a game of Charades.

Then on Sunday, we wove our way through the West Farms Corn Maze (he pretty much slept the whole time though). I had him dressed up in what he wore in the piano video below (that was the morning of--he was in overalls and a shirt with a bow tie). This is where my dad's camera comes in. I'll have to get those from him this weekend.

He fell asleep in his high chair for the first time.

Finally, he's a pretty happy baby, so he's entertained with the simplest of sounds.

He's still working hard on his crawl, loves (I mean LOVES) playing on his piano (which was Chaise and mine when we were kids and my grandma held onto it for us until now), and has become too practiced in throwing his pacifier out of his crib not to be doing it just so I'll come give it back to him.

Last, but not least, if you want Adam's email address, you know how to contact me to get it. Since I tweet these posts for those of you who follow this that way, I don't want the wrong people getting a hold of it. If you're family (and that counts friends too) though, don't shy away from my inbox/facebook/tumblr/whatever else you want to use to contact me. I want him to have as many letters from loved ones and photos as possible to look back on when he grows up.

Just a Quick Update

Hello Everyone,

Not a big update tonight. We've been super busy this last week, so I haven't really taken too many pictures, and the only really big change in Adam's life is that he now knows that he loves peaches. I promise, next week should be much longer.

I also didn't get a chance to set up his email. I didn't get any suggestions in the comments on that front and forgot about it until today, so I'll have to come up with something tomorrow or next week. I did however sign us up for this online baby registry thing for whenever y'all want to give him anything and aren't sure what to get (no, I'm not putting this out to beg for stuff...we have plenty...but I know Christmas and his birthday are coming up, so I figured it's better to be prepared than not.)

Just so I wouldn't have a post completely void of pictures, I took these today:

I hope all is well! Much love from all of us here in the Barber household. Goodnight!

7 Months and 3 Weeks; Time Sure Flies By

Hey Everyone,
Adam is sitting in my lap as I type this (yes, it's late; he was asleep, but woke up hungry a few minutes ago). Nothing super new has happened in Adam's world this week, besides the introduction of mashed pumpkin and the increased mobility of "crawling" (that is, scooting around without lifting his belly off the ground). He did get to go see his Great Grandma (on my mom's side), who he hadn't seen in a few months though, and got some new fall clothes. His parents also celebrated their two year anniversary, but, let's be honest, he didn't understand anything besides the fact that we left him with my dad for a few hours (hence why it didn't happen in his  world). Well, I better get him back to bed, so here're a few pictures from this week.

He looked a little silly on the way to Moe's. It was raining and we needed to put him in a hoodie...which didn't match his clothes at all.
Adam and my all-grown-up little cousin Nichole.
He had some fun playing with Bobo.

And, of course, he spent some much needed time with Great Grandma
(He was just chewing on the outside; don't worry.)

Alright, well, before I go, I also wanted to say that I might be starting up an email address for the little guy. I saw this idea for using an email account as a virtual baby book of sorts, where everyone can send pictures and stories so they are easily kept all in one place. If you have any ideas for a witty, cute, or just easy to remember username, I'd love to hear from you in the comments. I'll try to get the email set up by next week. Night all!
